...To create awareness within the community to unite against crime by getting involved in the community policing forums, to educate the community about Community Policing Forums, their structures and their objectives, needs and focuses.
To create a need for communities to RISE UP and remove the DO NOT DISTURB signs that we have on our doors, to get to know your neighbours, to start taking care of our BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY ourselves and not leave this up to anyone else anymore.
To mobilise people to go back to our beautiful parks, to go back to our beaches for a walk at sundown.
To educate the public regarding crime, the criminals and what CAN be done if we work together as a NATION!
WALK FOR PEACE INITIATIVE - IS 'A' POLITICAL - WE ARE NOT ANTI-GOVERNMENT BUT RATHER ANTI-CRIME!
We need to bring solutions to the problem and not problems to the problem.
It's time we all gave a little back to our community - instead of just complaining - let's do something!
There's lots of work to be done - but as you will ALL REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING you have heard for many many years...
