THE BAT CENTRE  
he BAT Centre is an arts and culture community centre found in the small craft harbour, off Durban\'s Victoria Embankment. Our Mission is to celebrate the arts and culture of Durban, KwaZulu Natal and South Africa by promoting local talent and skills. Celebrating our unique cultures and encouraging cross-fertilisation to create jobs for the artists by sourcing talent, imparting skills and developing markets. Also to act as a community cultural center for the city of Durban, the people of the harbour and the Esplanade and to become a resource to outlying arts and cultural centers and creative people. Since its inception in 1995 the BAT has grown older but from observing the quality of the arts and performances displayed on this day and on a regular daily basis, it is definite the BAT is now a wiser entity.
